And, I personally use about 16 ounces of water for 25 grams of coffee.

Re: Full Immersion Brewed To Order…

Thanks very much for your rapid reply.

Two quick questions (and I promise not to bother you again after this):

1.) Weight of whole beans pre-grinding is the same weight as the ensuing ground coffee...correct?
If not, what is the conversion factor for whole beans to ground coffee on a per ounce basis?

2.) How many ounces of water should I be using based on 25 grams of ground coffee?

Re: Full Immersion Brewed To Order…

Hi Denis,

You should use about 3 heaping tablespoons (roughly 25 grams) of medium to fine ground coffee and filling the dripper with water. A finer grind will make a more flavorful brew and a coarser will be milder. Stir the brew after a minute to be sure the grinds are fully immersed in the water.

There's a video from the creator of the Clever Dripper here: http://youtu.be/m_-wyjaCPj8

Experiment with your grind to get just the right flavor that you like.

Re: Full Immersion Brewed To Order…

I bought one of your Clever Coffee Drippers...I am having some trouble with the right ratio of weight of beans to ounces of water as well as determining the ideal grind. The "trouble" I noted is that I don't really taste the flavor of the coffee until the coffee has cooled considerably. I pour the hot water immediately after it boils. Can you shed some light on this?

Re: Baristas

David,
